Catering Award Ceremony June 2010

Last night the catering department held its annual student award evening with catering students across all levels being awarded and congratulated on their achievements for the past year.

Five students were also congratulated and presented with awards for their participation in the world skills competition that was held at the Bournemouth catering show in March. The winners were rewarded with a certificate and two members of the team won bronze medals in different front of house categories.

Well done to Emma Banham (two Medals) Phillip Salt, Jake Phillips (two medals), Oliver Kahan and Daniel Rowe for their achievements in this fantastic competitoin.

We will be competing again in 2011 and students will be selected by the lecturers to take part based on their skills and attitude throughout the year.
